Budget cuts in the Pasadena Unified School District are effecting the youngest and most vulnerable members of the Pasadena Community. The Infant and Toddler program the only program of its' type in the District and the School Age Program are slated to end with the current school year. The unexpected closing leaves children and parents without affordable educational alternative.

The parent who gathered at La Pintoresca Park on Sunday, June 4, 2011 are distributing petitions and gathering signatures to keep the programs from being cut. They will use the petitions to let there representatives know how serverly the lost of the early education programs and after-school programs will effect families today and the community in the long run.
