PASADENA ELECTION UNOFFICIAL RESULTS ARE IN!

Early Wednesday morning, after an exciting and nail-biting night of ballot counting, the City of Pasadena has released the unofficial election results.

One of the most watched 2011 city council races was District 6. District 6 results show that incumbent Steve Madison reclaims his seat by only 411 votes. While tea party endorsed challenger, Carolyn Naber divides voters by taking 44.7% of the votes.

District 1 incumbent Jackie Robinson succeeds in winning a second term, in a race full of accusations of racial division and lack of community involvement, excelling over challenger James Smith by 828 votes with all 8 precincts reporting.

Other race results were no surprise, as incumbents walk into the winning circle by outpolling opponents or lack of opponents in City Council and PUSD seats.

Mayor Bill Bogaard and District 2 Councilwoman Margaret McAustin, bikes it into the finish by winning unopposed.

In District 4, Gene Masuda and Jill Fosselman will run-off for the councilmember position, due to neither candidates receiving the majority of the votes. Masuda outpolled Fosselman by only 90 votes.

In PUSD, Seat 2 incumbent Renatta Cooper wins 94.4% of votes walloping write-in challenger Cushon Bell. Seat 4 Kim Kenne wins over 55.1% of the voters defeating Gene Stevenson.

Seat 6 race, incumbent Tom Selinske defeats two of his three opponents, leading into a runoff against Sean Baggett.

All runoff elections will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011
