The popular children’s book series, “Judy Moody” shuts down the corner of Halstead Street and Yorkshire Road in East Pasadena for film production. That’s right folks; another children book is making its way to the big screen through the streets of Pasadena. The City of Pasadena known for its multiple “All American” looks, has made its mark in television and films for decades.

On his cellphone, Joel Kramer, 2nd Unit Director, has credits for films such as, “Wanted”, “Youth in Revolt” and “Premonition”, ponders scene logistics, while his son, Joel Kramer, not junior, stuntman/actor, prepares to play Bigfoot for the next scene.

So, if you see a “half-Man / half-Bigfoot” riding in a pink ice cream truck being followed by four Los Angeles County Sheriff vehicles, it’s not a car chase.

Judy Moody “The Movie” is slated to be in theatres by the Summer of 2011.
