In Pasadena, on Friday, September 3rd, a suspicious device was found in front of Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, shutting down businesses on North Lake, between Orange Grove Boulevard and Mountain Avenue.
“The suspicious package was called into the police station around 2:30pm”,
says Pasadena police Sgt. Ed Calatayud III
Police responded by evacuating nearby businesses, closing off both side of Lake Avenue and taped-off adjacent streets. The device resembling two motorcycle batteries attached by wires were investigated
by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Bomb Squad.
“The Bomb squad robot investigated the device, and then a bomb squad member took an up-closes look.” said Sgt. Ed Calatayud III
Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles employees were in good spirits when police official announced it was safe to return to work.
No other information was immediately available.
